Accel Calf Ade+
A Type B medicated feed to be used as an aid in the prevention or treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours). Contains a combination of Oxtetracyclne HCL (3.2 grams/pound) and Neomycin (neomycin base activity 6.4 grams/pound). Fortified with Vitamins A D3 and E. Mix with non-medicated calf milk replacer to make a Type C medicated milk.

Protocol for Rehydration of Scouring Calves Scours
Morning Feeding
STEP ONE:
1.
Feed 2 quarts of milk replacer or milk
2.
1 hour later - Feed 2 quarts of AccelLyte
3.
Beginning 45 minutes to 1 hour after feeding milk OFFER FRESH WATER
Afternoon Feeding
STEP TWO:
1.
Feed 2 quarts of milk replacer or milk
2.
1 hour later - Feed 2 quarts of AccelLyte
3.
Beginning 45 minutes to 1 hour after feeding milk OFFER FRESH WATER
CAUTION: Calves showing symptoms of coma, shock or that are too weak to stand should be treated as directed by a veterinarian.
Accellyte Calf Electrolyte
An oral rehydration product for dairy and beef calves. Contains potassium and sodium to replenish electrolytes and restore proper fluid balance. Blended with glycine and citrate to improve electrolyte and water absorption. Added dextrose provides nutritional energy. Buffers help minimize metabolic acidosis. Also contains Fructo-oligosaccharides complex sugars that help establish beneficial microbial populations. Easily mixes with water.
