Peter Joins Accelerated Genetics as Genetics Programs Assistant (12/28/2011)
Baraboo, Wis. (December 28, 2011) - Jessica Peter has been hired as a Genetics Programs Assistant with Accelerated Genetics. Peter will be responsible for sending out SET schedules along with herd inventories for the Area Holstein SET program. She will also provide support for the PACE program including processing orders for dairy owner allotments of PACE and Proven sires and support the Sire Analysts.
Peter is a graduate of Iowa State University where she majored in Agriculture Studies and Animal Science. At Iowa State she was an Animal Science Peer Mentor as well as active in the Iowa State Dairy Science Club, serving as the Public Relations Coordinator. Previously, Peter interned at a dairy cattle genetics company where she worked with herds to locate, evaluate and picture bull daughters and assisted herds with flushing and embryo transfer work.
