Impacto del  Método de Crecimiento y Posterior en Novillas – Manejo de la IA en la Eficiencia Reproductiva  (11/1/2010)

Un suministro de novillas correctamente levantadas es importante para la sostenibilidad de toda operación ganadera. Sin embargo, el método mediante el cual las novillas son desarrolladas y la manera como son manejadas en seguida de la inseminación puede tener un tremendo impacto en su desempeño reproductivo y en la productividad de su vida como novillas de reemplazo. Las novillas que se han levantado en confinamiento “feedlot” experimentan una disminución del promedio de ganancia diaria comparado con novillas que son trasladadas del confinamiento “feedlot” a pastoreo de forraje de primavera. Esta disminución en el promedio de ganancia diaria coincide con disminución en el éxito de las preñeces en novillas levantadas en confinamiento “feedlot” y se trasladan a forraje de primavera inmediatamente después de la inseminación. Por lo tanto es necesario tener en cuenta que un cambio repentino en la dieta puede tener un impacto tremendo en el éxito de la preñez, si el cambio de dieta ocurre inmediatamente después de la inseminación...LEA MAS!
